Everlasting Tanzania Travels sent us a complete list of the gear that we will need for our climb. At the base of the mountain we will be trekking through the hot, humid forest and ascending up to the glacier covered summit. It makes for an extensive gear list so that we are prepared for all types of weather.

Compulsory Clothing:
Summit Jacket
Summit Fleece
Soft Jacket
Waterproof Jacket
Waterproof Pants
3 Long Sleeve Shirt
7 Short Sleeve Shirt
3 Hiking Light Weight Pants for daily wear (convertible to shorts recommended)
Shorts (optional)

Footwear:
Hiking Boots
Running/Cross Trainer for daily wear as long as there are good grips
8 light breathable sock liners for daily wear
2 Wool over socks for summit night only
Gaitors (waterproof)

Headwear:
Brimmed Hat
Warm beanie styled hat for summit
Knit Hat for warmth
Balaclava for face covrage
Buff for face/nose wind/grit protection
Bandana (optional)

Underwear:
2 long underwear (moisture wicking fabric recommended)
7 daily change of underwear, briefs (moisture wicking fabric recommended)
4 sports bra

Handwear:
Summit Mitt extreme gloves, warm
glove liners, thin synthetic, worn under gloves for added warmth

Accessories for the Mountain:

Travel Bag 80+ litres
Head lamp with extra batteries
Sunglasses minimum category 3 if you don't have

Small Daypack for you to carry your limited personal gear (rain jacket/pants/gloves)
Water Bladder, Camelback type goes inside day pack (get insulation if you can)
Bag (90litres) Porter Carries
